Quantum Circus

suomeksi

Quantum Circus is a visual circus and theatre experience and a unique joint production of different fields of science and art that opens the laws of quantum physics by the means of circus. On stage the theories and formulas of physics become visible by the hands of researchers and circus performers alike.

The birth history of the performance is fascinating by itself. It was developed together by Turku Centre for Quantum Physics physicists and Turku Arts Academy circus performers through 5-day workshops that were held in September 2009, February 2010 and May 2010. Together the attendees got acquainted with both quantum physics and the world of circus, exploring their differences and similarities.

Quantum Circus combines the right and left cerebral hemispheres, quantum physics and circus, researchers and artists, for the first time in the world.
